Fossil-fired electricity generation will bring pollution. Wind power surely will reduce pollution caused by fossil-fired conventional energy. In fact wind power consumes no fuel, and emits no air pollution.

What are the environmental benefits of wind energy?
First of all, wind energy do not generate air or water emissions, and don't produce any hazardous waste. And wind power don't use natural resources such as coal, oil, or gas, won't cause environmental damage through resource extraction and transportation, don't require significant amounts of water during operation.
We can use more wind energy to prevent global warming.
But in fact wind power plants, like all other energy technologies, have some environmental impacts too.
Wind turbines don't consume any fuel or produce pollution during their normal operation, but still have hazards associated with their construction and operation. There are about 40 fatalities due to construction, operation, maintenance of wind turbines
Wind energy may negatively impact birds and other wildlife by fragmenting habitat, both through installation and operation of wind turbines.
Noise was an issue with designs of some early wind turbine. But fortunately it's solved now.
