industrial processes using VSDs

Industrial processes are numerous. We know some of the industrial segments require some kind of control using variable speed drive (VSD), mainly because of energy saving function.

For example, in air conditioning applications, which is part of HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning), air flow requirements change according to the humidity and temperature in the room. These can be met by adjusting the supply and return air fans. These adjustments are carried out with variable speed drive (VSD).

Fans are also used in power plants and the chemical industry. In these 2 cases, the fans need to be adjusted according to the main process. In power plants, the main process changes due to varying demands for power at different times of the year, day or week. Likewise, the need for variable speed drives (VSD) differs according to the process.
