An electric car is eco-friendly, sometimes with zero emissions, is an automobile that uses an electric motor for propulsion. It's a variety of electric vehicle (EV). Convetional gas-powered cars use common propulsion methods, such as the internal combustion engine (ICE).

As mentioned above, electric cars are usually powered by on-board battery packs, and as such are usually battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Electric cars are the practical forms of transportation, which can be inexpensively recharged overnight.
Electric cars have the potential of significantly reducing city pollution for environment via having zero tail pipe emissions. Electric cars are expected to have a major impact in the auto industry. More and more automakers are offering their eco-friendly electric cars for consumers to choose. Nowadays in the market, different types of electric cars exist: An electric car powered by sun power is a solar-powered car. An electric car, which is powered by a gasoline generator, is a form of hybrid car. But electric cars, are often refered to pure battery electric vehicles.
